January 20th

What a good turnout, thanks for coming ladies, it was another lovely day scrapping, chatting and laughing,  what a good start to the new year.   For our swaps, we have a girl birthday card, and a ribbon swap, just place 6 x 50cm pieces of ribbon in a zip lock bag and it goes into the swap and you pick one out, what a great way to get some lovely ribbons - 30cm for a page and 20cm for a card - how good is that.  So ladies if you want to take part in the swaps, let us know so that we can pass on numbers.
Don't forget, the retreat is coming soon, 22nd March - Kerrie is looking for numbers so if you are interested, let us know and we can put you in touch with Kerrie.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

We hope everybody enjoyed yesterday's Christmas Lunch, we had a good time, lots of lovely food and punch (non-alcoholic of course). 
For those that were unable to join us, we wish you all a merry christmas and a safe and happy new year.

Hi ladies, well it's that time of the year again! The 16th December will be our last Simplycrafty for the year. As usual we will have a nice Christmas lunch and Secret Santa. If you are joining us, can you let us know whether you are bringing sweet or savour for the lunch so that we can be a little bit organised, I will post on the blog as and when I know what everyone is bringing. Also Secret Santa, a gift up to the value of $5.00. I hope to see as many as you can join us for our last get together for the year.

In regards to next year, we have been trying to come up with ideas for swaps, make and takes etc. so if anybody has any ideas, please let us know either via email or the blog.

We have now booked the dates for next year, third Sunday of the month, which are: 20 January, 17 February, 17 March (week before retreat), 21 April, 19 May, 16 June 21 July, 18 August, 15 September, 13 October (one week earlier because of retreat), 17 November, and 15 December, 2013.

Retreat Dates: 22-24 March 18-20 October - please contact Kerry Skilton in regard to the retreat on kerrieskilton@bigpond.com.

If you see any glaring mistakes, please let me know.

Hi ladies, just to let you know I have posted the numbers for the swap for next week's Simply Crafty. Hi ladies, another lovely day spent chatting and creating, we welcomed Corrie today, and we hope she enjoyed the day and will be back again. Next month is the retreat, for those who require information in regards to the retreat, please contact Kerry on kerryskilton@bigpond.com. It is a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you there. Due to the retreat, we have cancelled October's get together. So, the next month's get together is in November. We are doing the swap again and because it is close to Christmas, it is Christmas Cards and Christmas tags/embellishments. If you want to join in, please let us know and we can let everybody know at least 1 week before. Thank you ladies, look forward to seeing you at the retreat and if not then, in November, take care and have a lovely month. Hi ladies, we had a great time today, Helen did our make and take and we made some beautiful bookmarks, male and female, sorry no photo, hopfully Shandell will post a photo on her blog. We learnt the technique of using our Distress Ink Pads for adding colour to our stamps, it's great after all this time crafting, we can still learn new techniques, thank you Helen. The swaps were amazing as always, all very different and creative work. Next month's swaps are ladies cards and ladies gift tag. Just let us know by email if you are joining in. If anybody has any ideas for the swaps,let us know. Maybe a ribbon swap or a button swap? Any ideas ladies? Also, if anyone would like to do a make and take or show a stamping/cardmaking/scrapbooking technique, we would love you to share.
