Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

We hope everybody enjoyed yesterday's Christmas Lunch, we had a good time, lots of lovely food and punch (non-alcoholic of course). 
For those that were unable to join us, we wish you all a merry christmas and a safe and happy new year.

Hi ladies, well it's that time of the year again! The 16th December will be our last Simplycrafty for the year. As usual we will have a nice Christmas lunch and Secret Santa. If you are joining us, can you let us know whether you are bringing sweet or savour for the lunch so that we can be a little bit organised, I will post on the blog as and when I know what everyone is bringing. Also Secret Santa, a gift up to the value of $5.00. I hope to see as many as you can join us for our last get together for the year.

In regards to next year, we have been trying to come up with ideas for swaps, make and takes etc. so if anybody has any ideas, please let us know either via email or the blog.

We have now booked the dates for next year, third Sunday of the month, which are: 20 January, 17 February, 17 March (week before retreat), 21 April, 19 May, 16 June 21 July, 18 August, 15 September, 13 October (one week earlier because of retreat), 17 November, and 15 December, 2013.

Retreat Dates: 22-24 March 18-20 October - please contact Kerry Skilton in regard to the retreat on kerrieskilton@bigpond.com.

If you see any glaring mistakes, please let me know.

Hi ladies, just to let you know I have posted the numbers for the swap for next week's Simply Crafty. Hi ladies, another lovely day spent chatting and creating, we welcomed Corrie today, and we hope she enjoyed the day and will be back again. Next month is the retreat, for those who require information in regards to the retreat, please contact Kerry on kerryskilton@bigpond.com. It is a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you there. Due to the retreat, we have cancelled October's get together. So, the next month's get together is in November. We are doing the swap again and because it is close to Christmas, it is Christmas Cards and Christmas tags/embellishments. If you want to join in, please let us know and we can let everybody know at least 1 week before. Hi ladies, we had a great time today, Helen did our make and take and we made some beautiful bookmarks, male and female, sorry no photo, hopfully Shandell will post a photo on her blog. We learnt the technique of using our Distress Ink Pads for adding colour to our stamps, it's great after all this time crafting, we can still learn new techniques, thank you Helen. The swaps were amazing as always, all very different and creative work. Next month's swaps are ladies cards and ladies gift tag. Just let us know by email if you are joining in. If anybody has any ideas for the swaps,let us know. Maybe a ribbon swap or a button swap? Any ideas ladies? Also, if anyone would like to do a make and take or show a stamping/cardmaking/scrapbooking technique, we would love you to share. Christmas in July

Thank you all for joining us for our Christmas in July celebrations, we all had a great time and a lovely lunch, thank you ladies. Secret Santa did well again this year, I am still amazed at what great things can be bought for $5. We welcomed Pauline's friend, Kerry, was great to see a new crafter. Also Debbie joined us. Hopefully we will see you both over the next few months. The swaps for this month are: (a) a man's birthday card; (b) a man's gift tag/embelishmentl so if you would like to join in the swaps, please let me know the numbers. BUT wait, there's more, Helen has graciously said she will do a "make and take" next week, and I think her idea of a bookmark is a great one, so please let me know who would like to join in so that I can let Helen know the numbers and she can work out the cost. Hi ladies, was lovely to see you all again, great to catch up with everyone and swap stories about the s/booking convention in Brisbane, and of course, Mr Tim Holz (and my photo with him)!! We had a great day, Pauline from Kazzaz kindly showed us a couple of techniques and we made some lovely cards, thank you Pauline, the cards were beautiful, lovely Miss Shandell has posted them on her blog if you want to have a look see. The swap went well again, lovely friendship cards and travel embelishments. Thank you ladies. Again, Miss Shandell has posted on her blog, thanks Shandell, when I try this it takes me ages, so I just link to your blog, which is much easier. Next month is our annual Christmas in July, another celebration for the Club, we are going to the same way as before. If you are coming, can you indicate if you are bringing a savoury or sweet for lunch. Of course secret santa will be there, so if you can bring a gift to the value of $5.00 he'll gladly hand the gifts out. We are also having a swap, the cards will be (surprise surprise) Christmas Cards and the embelishments will be a Christmas tag, so if you want to join in, please let us know by the 10th July, heaps of time to make them ladies... put on your creative hats and get creating...... Well ladies, we had another lovely day scrapping/chatting/laughing and of course, eating. So much yummy food and so little time to eat!!!! The swaps went really well, some lovely sympathy cards and great ideas for the banner embellishments, its amazing to see how many different ideas are out there, now we just need the time to scrap with the lovely bunting. In June, Pauline has been good enough to organise a "make and take" for us. We will get to make 2 cards and Pauline will show us how to make them. The packs will be $8.00, and for those ladies who wish to take part, can you let us know so that we can give Pauline some idea of numbers, I am sure we all need a couple of more cards in our stash, I have found the swap cards to be so handy for when I forget to make a card for someone's birthday, but then I just look in my box and hey presto.... I get alot of praise LOL. The swap for next month (17th June) is a friendship/thinking of you card and a travel embelishment. So ladies, if want to take part, please let us know at least by the 10th June to give us plenty of time for numbers. Shandell is going to be kind enought to post pictures of last month's swaps on her blog, so hop over there to see the lovely cards. Hi ladies, another lovely day spent yesterday, lots of catching up with everybody and some creativity going on. The swaps were great as usual and well worth taking part to get all those lovely cards/embellishments.
The next swap for May is get well/sympathy cards and bunting embelishments, so those ladies that wish to take part, let me know as soon as possible and I can pass the numbers on.
I have put a list of the swaps in the side bar for people to check out in advance what we are doing, if you have any ideas, please let us know, I have taken the liberty of putting a few ideas there for the months we hadn't filled in.
We welcomed Sheryl Phayre yesterday, Sherly came along to see what was happening on our Sunday get togethers and stayed for a while to chat and check out some of the work that we did. We look forward to seeing her again.
I will get photos of the swaps posted as soon as I can.

Hi ladies, we had another day of chatting, creating and of course, eating. One thing is for sure, you can't diet when we have crafty Sundays!.
Talking of food and diet, it is the retreat this weekend, if you can't come for the weekend, you can come out for the day, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, plus a day of scrapbooking/creating, all for $65.00.

I must admit I didn't join in the last swap but after seeing the great cards and embelishments, I wish I had, they were great.

Hi ladies, we had a lovely day on Sunday, it was good to see everyone and catch up, lots of chatting and laughter. As usual the swaps were very creative, didn't get photos but I am sure our lovely "swap coordinator" Miss Shandell will put photos of them on her blog.
The swap next month will be a boys card and the embelishment is "calendar". Can you let us know before the 11th March if you are joining in.
Also, because next month it is the week before the retreat, can you let us know how many will be coming on the 18th March so that we can organise the room as if there is only a few, we can just book the smaller room for March.

Hi ladies, we had a great time at our first meeting of the year on the 22nd January, lovely to see so many of you there, welcome back Cassie, good to see you again.
Many congratulations to Amanda and Cathie on the birth of their babies, no doubt you will be calling in to see us to "show and tell". Look forward to seeing lots of baby pages.
