17th November 2013

Hi ladies,
A good time was had by all this month, we were all happy and glad to see Katie again. She looked well, Melanie was with her, and it was so good to see them both well and happy again. Katie still had her lovely sense of humour and even got down to some scrapbooking, after lots of chatting of course.
Luckily we got a good day's scrapping in before the storm hit and I think everybody would have got home safely before it hit and I hope nobody suffered any damage from it.
We welcomed a new lady who came to visit us to meet and greet and hopefully she will become a regular.
She is hoping to join us for our Christmas party on the 15th December.
We will, on the 15th December, have our usual lunch and secret santa, so please, if you are coming, can you let us know and also whether you are bring a sweet or savoury for lunch, thank you.
We will be coordinating the dates for next year and hopefully they will suit everyone (fingers crossed).
We would ask that you would, if possible, to let us know when you are coming to Simplycrafty, mainly for us to decide which room/rooms to have, so that we are not hiring out the whole room for just a few of us when half the room would have sufficed. Thanks ladies.

October Retreat

We had a wonderful weekend at the scrapbooking retreat, with 19 ladies there and a little boy with big blue eyes that stole the show, who was very well behaved and gave us all lovely smiles. I am sure Shandell will be posting photos on her blog or on the Simpy Crafty facebook page.
Thank you Kerrie for organising this great weekend, everybody enjoyed it and there was lots of laughter, chocolate, food, and beverages – both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. As usual the food was up to its usual yummy standard
The retreats for next year have been booked, for 21/22/23 March 2014 and 17/18/19 October 2014 (please feel free to correct my as I didn’t write the dates down and am relying on my memory).
A reminder that the next Simply Crafty is on 17th November 2013 and we are looking forward to seeing as many of you as can make it.

Hi all, latest update on Katie is that the operation went well according to the doctors, hopefully there will be more good news soon, will update as I hear.

October

Hi everyone, just to let you know that the October Simply Crafty will be cancelled as the Retreat is on in October.
If you know of anybody that would like to join us on the retreat, please let Kerrie know. I am sure if there is anybody that can't come out for the full weekend, I am sure Kerrie can work something out.
We had a very small group on Sunday, but we were all productive and even I managed to scrap 2 pages!!!
Well everybody, looking forward to seeing you on the retreat, have a good month, and if not at the retreat, see you on the November Sunday, cheers everybody.

11th August/8th September

We had another lovely day scrapping and chatting. We also welcomed a new lady, Kylie, welcome Kylie and we hope you enjoyed your day. Kylie is also joining us on the retreat. Anybody interested in the retreat, please contact Kerry, if you need her details, just let me know and I can email them to you.
Our next get together is 8th September. The card swap is "female" and the embellishment swap is ribbons (5 pieces of ribbons 50cm in length). If you are joining in the swaps please let me know so that I can pass the numbers on.
As always our thoughts are with Katie and Melanie. In relation to a collection for her, we thought it best to wait until she is maybe home or recuperating.

Hi ladies, we had another lovely Xmas in July, with a delicious lunch and beautiful desserts – lots of caramel was involved!!!. Everybody received a Secret Santa gift and there was lots of lovely gifts.
We had our card and embellishment swap and Shandell has put them up on her blog, http://littlemissscrappy.blogspot.com.au/, so pop over and see what a creative bunch of ladies we are.
Our next get together is 11th August, and the swaps are a “boy” embellishment and a “kraft paper” card (for those that don’t know, the kraft paper is like a cardboard colour).
We look forward to seeing you on the 11th August and if you are taking part in the swaps, please let us know so that we can let everybody else know the numbers,

Christmas in July (14th July)

Hi ladies, just to let you know we are in the second half of the year! Once again we are doing our Christmas in July, with the usual Christmas fare and a 'secret santa' gift to the value of $5.00. So, if you are joining us, please let us know whether you are bringing sweet/savoury, thanks.
Also the swaps for July are for the embellishments - flowers and for the cards, Christmas.

Hello ladies,
Well we had another lovely day on Sunday, lots of creating, chatting and laughting.
I did take some photos, but unfortunately can't manage to upload them, sorry ladies, will keep trying and hopefully get there.
Next scrappy day is June 16th, the swaps are:

Embelishments - denim and/or a printed image. The printed image is just an image, stamped onto a piece of cardstock/photopaper, beign 4" x 6", and then the recipient can colour the image or not, as they wish.

Cards - polka dots.

Please let us know as soon as you can if you are taking parts in the swap.

Hi ladies, another great day scrapping on Sunday. The swap (male/boy card) was very creative as per normal. Cathie showed us all how to make tissue paper Pom poms and they were given to Danielle for Grace's birthday party. Shandell has posted on her blog the photos and swap cards so head on over there to have a peak. We had a few good ideas for swaps for the upcoming months so we will post them ASAP. Hi ladies

Hi ladies, Well another retreat has been and gone. What a lovely way to spend a weekend relaxing and having fun and also being very creative at the same time. Everybody seemed to be creating lots of pages and enjoying themselves. As usual the food was up to its usual yummy standard, I think lots of kilos might have been added to the scales that week!! I hope you all had a safe and happy Easter and we look forward to seeing you on the 21st April at Simply Crafty. Just for those people that are on Facebook, Simplycrafty has now got its own Facebook page, run by Shandell and Cathy (thanks ladies), just search "Simply Crafty Bundaberg" and the page should come up. There are some photos of the retreat up there for you to see how much of a mess we make and also what good fun we have. There is another retreat in October, so start saving ladies, it is a great weekend if you just want to relax and have fun, oh and if you feel like it, some scrapbooking or other creativity. January 20th

What a good turnout, thanks for coming ladies, it was another lovely day scrapping, chatting and laughing,  what a good start to the new year.   For our swaps, we have a girl birthday card, and a ribbon swap, just place 6 x 50cm pieces of ribbon in a zip lock bag and it goes into the swap and you pick one out, what a great way to get some lovely ribbons - 30cm for a page and 20cm for a card - how good is that.  So ladies if you want to take part in the swaps, let us know so that we can pass on numbers.
Don't forget, the retreat is coming soon, 22nd March - Kerrie is looking for numbers so if you are interested, let us know and we can put you in touch with Kerrie.
